What is the pad on the left side of the board on the back for? It looks like a USB or SD card socket, but not quite.

Good morning I purchased a pi zero 2w, I have these needs, receive data via MQTT and store them in Mysql db. The pi imager program offers me Raspbian 64 Bit. What do you recommend so that it doesn’t get stuck? Thank you

Buongiorno ho acquistato un pi zero 2w , ho queste esigenze , ricevere dati via MQTT e memorizzarle in db Mysql. Il programma pi imager mi propone Raspbian 64 Bit . Cosa mi consigliate affinchè non si blocchi ? Grazie

If it takes MAX 3V at 0.6A – What is the other 1.4A of the 5V, 2A PSU supposed to be used for? Is the design such that if I feed it a 5v, 5A (25W) PSU input, it will pass that through the USB bus to e.g. an external 2.5″ HDD or SSD? These need a lot of power PEAK, but average out at less in typical usage.
This article isn’t as comprehensive as it could have been, as I have seen blog posts and forum posts about 5V USB Power Distribution on other Pi models before. Sorry I don’t have the links to hand…

Il SOC 2711 del RPi4 consuma 2 volte e mezzo il SOC 2710A1 dello Zero 2, forse è anche per questo che non l’hanno usato… Al limite avrebbero potuto usare uno Snapdragon 480 che pur essendo molto più potente del 2710A1 consuma anche meno… Purtroppo 512MB di ram limitano fortemente l’utilizzo di browser e ambienti grafici. Ci sono pseudo cloni con lo stesso form factor con performances ben superiori e maggior quantitativo di ram tipo l’Orange Pi 2W e il Radxa Zero e Zero 3W (arrivano a 4Gb). Ovviamente non c’è la stessa community…

Come posso limitare al massimo il consumo di Pi 2w ? Intendo come spegnere la porta HDMi, Led etc ?
