Llegados a este punto, puede que te est\u00e9s preguntando: \"\u00bfDebo esperar a tener una Raspberry Pi 5 o me compro ya una Raspberry Pi 4?\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este art\u00edculo, vamos a repasar las especificaciones de ambos y a compararlos y contrastarlos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunas de las caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s notables de Raspberry Pi 5 son sus rapid\u00edsimas velocidades de CPU y GPU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De hecho, en comparaci\u00f3n con su predecesora, la Pi 5 ofrece un aumento de 2 a 3 veces en el rendimiento de la CPU y una enorme mejora en el rendimiento de la GPU. La Raspberry Pi 5 tiene una CPU m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida con n\u00facleos ARM-Cortex A76 (2,4 GHz).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Raspberry Pi 5 tambi\u00e9n viene con la nueva generaci\u00f3n de GPU VideoCore. En un futuro podr\u00eda aparecer una variante de 2 GB y otra de 1 GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puertos y perif\u00e9ricos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Como he mencionado anteriormente, ambos tienen una ranura para tarjetas micro SD, pero Raspberry Pi 5 es compatible con el modo SDR104 de alta velocidad, que ofrece un acceso mucho m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido a los datos de la tarjeta SD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, aunque ambas cuentan con dos puertos USB 2.0 y dos puertos USB 3.0, la Raspberry Pi 5 tiene puertos USB 3.0 que admiten el funcionamiento simult\u00e1neo a 5 Gbps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed, mientras que las ranuras para tarjetas micro SD y los puertos USB parecen iguales a primera vista, son muy superiores en la Raspberry Pi 5. En comparaci\u00f3n con la Raspberry Pi 4, la Pi 5 duplica el ancho de banda USB agregado y el rendimiento m\u00e1ximo de la tarjeta SD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la introducci\u00f3n, destaqu\u00e9 la importancia del RP1. Con dos interfaces MIPI de 4 carriles, ahora hay soporte para cualquier combinaci\u00f3n de hasta dos c\u00e1maras o pantallas. Esto significa que puedes utilizarlas para aplicaciones estereosc\u00f3picas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una cosa importante a tener en cuenta es que estos nuevos conectores son de 22 v\u00edas y no de 15, como en otros productos actuales de c\u00e1maras y pantallas. Eso significa que necesitar\u00e1s un cable adaptador para la nueva Pi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por suerte, Raspberry Pi est\u00e1 lanzando cables adaptadores mini-a-est\u00e1ndar para ir junto con los nuevos conectores MIPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toma de audio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una diferencia que notar\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente es que la Raspberry Pi 4 ten\u00eda un conector de 4 polos de audio est\u00e9reo y v\u00eddeo compuesto, lo que permit\u00eda conexiones de audio y v\u00eddeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En cambio, la Raspberry Pi 5 carece de conector de audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si quieres conectar audio, tendr\u00e1s que usar USB o Bluetooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RTC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una nueva caracter\u00edstica de la Raspberry Pi 5 es un RTC (Real-Time Clock) y un conector de la bater\u00eda RTC para el cronometraje preciso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un RTC har\u00e1 posible que tu Raspberry Pi 5 sea \u00fatil en aplicaciones remotas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raspberry Pi 4 no tiene un RTC o un conector para una bater\u00eda RTC, por supuesto. Esto significa que necesita WiFi para el cronometraje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PCIe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Raspberry Pi 5 es la primera Raspberry Pi que incorpora una interfaz PCIe 2.0 x1, lo que proporciona la capacidad de conectar perif\u00e9ricos superr\u00e1pidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Raspberry Pi 4 no ten\u00eda interfaz PCIe, aunque el Compute Module 4 s\u00ed ofrec\u00eda PCIe a trav\u00e9s de una placa de E\/S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de la Raspberry Pi 5, s\u00f3lo ten\u00edamos acceso a la m\u00e1xima velocidad de la interfaz SPI, por lo que el ancho de banda era limitado. Con PCIe, ahora puedes a\u00f1adir internamente hardware de muy alta velocidad a una Pi sin depender de cables USB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed que ahora tambi\u00e9n puedes hacer mucho m\u00e1s con la transferencia de datos entre tu Pi y otros dispositivos (piensa en todas las posibilidades, como m\u00f3dems 4G, puertos Ethernet adicionales, unidades SSD...).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Encendido y bot\u00f3n de encendido<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos utilizan un conector USB-C para la alimentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, Raspberry Pi 5 requiere una alimentaci\u00f3n de 5V\/5A DC y soporta Power Delivery (PD), frente a las especificaciones de 5V\/3A de Raspberry Pi 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este aumento de potencia es coherente con el aumento de rendimiento. Por supuesto, la Pi 5 no s\u00f3lo supera a la Pi 4 en t\u00e9rminos de uso de energ\u00eda.
