A questo punto, potreste chiedervi: \"Dovrei aspettare un Raspberry Pi 5 o dovrei comprare un Raspberry Pi 4 adesso?\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In questo articolo esamineremo le specifiche di entrambi e li confronteremo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alcune delle caratteristiche pi\u00f9 importanti di Raspberry Pi 5 sono la velocit\u00e0 incredibile della CPU e della GPU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Infatti, rispetto al suo predecessore, il Pi 5 offre un aumento di 2-3 volte delle prestazioni della CPU e un enorme miglioramento delle prestazioni della GPU. Naturalmente, entrambi si avviano da schede Micro SD (ricordate che Raspberry Pi 1 funzionava con una scheda SD standard?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrambi offrono Wi-Fi 802.11ac a 2,4 GHz e 5,0 GHz, nonch\u00e9 Bluetooth 5.0 e Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrambi dispongono di due porte USB 2.0 e due porte USB 3.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Infine, entrambi i computer offrono Gigabit Ethernet e supportano Power over Ethernet (PoE) con un PoE+ HAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"331\" src=\"https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49-1024x331.png\" alt=\"Raspberry Pi 4 e Raspberry Pi 5\" class=\"wp-image-5423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49-1024x331.png 1024w, https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49-300x97.png 300w, https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49-768x248.png 768w, https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49-18x6.png 18w, https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-from-2023-09-27-15-59-49.png 1206w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cosa c'\u00e8 di diverso?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Entriamo nel merito dei contrasti, che sono molti!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La prima cosa che avrete notato \u00e8 che Raspberry Pi 4 \u00e8 dotato del processore Broadcom BCM2711, mentre Raspberry Pi 5 utilizza il BCM2712. Raspberry Pi 5 ha una CPU pi\u00f9 veloce con core ARM-Cortex A76 (2,4 GHz).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il Raspberry Pi 5 \u00e8 dotato anche della nuova generazione di GPU VideoCore. Cos\u00ec, mentre il Raspberry Pi 4 ha una GPU VideoCore VI a 600 MHz, il Raspberry Pi 5 ha una GPU VideoCore VII a 1 GHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La differenza di GPU \u00e8 enorme se si considera che <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.com\/news\/introducing-raspberry-pi-5\/\">Il Pi 4 ha 4,4 GFLOPS e il Pi 5 oltre 10 GFLOPS.<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raspberry Pi 4 utilizza la SDRAM LPDDR4-3200 (1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB), mentre Raspberry Pi 5 utilizza la SDRAM LPDDR4X-4267 (al momento del lancio sono disponibili le varianti da 4GB e 8GB). Seguir\u00e0 una variante da 2 GB e in futuro potrebbe comparire una variante da 1 GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Porte e periferiche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Come ho gi\u00e0 detto, entrambi dispongono di uno slot per schede micro SD, ma Raspberry Pi 5 supporta la modalit\u00e0 SDR104 ad alta velocit\u00e0, che offre un accesso molto pi\u00f9 rapido ai dati della scheda SD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inoltre, sebbene entrambi siano dotati di due porte USB 2.0 e due porte USB 3.0, Raspberry Pi 5 dispone di porte USB 3.0 che supportano il funzionamento simultaneo a 5Gbps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebbene gli slot per schede micro SD e le porte USB sembrino uguali a prima vista, su Raspberry Pi 5 sono di gran lunga superiori. Rispetto al Raspberry Pi 4, il Pi 5 raddoppia la larghezza di banda USB aggregata e raddoppia le prestazioni di picco delle schede SD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nell'introduzione ho sottolineato l'importanza di RP1. L'RP1 \u00e8 il motivo principale di questo aumento delle prestazioni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anche l'interfaccia seriale della telecamera (CSI) e l'interfaccia seriale del display (DSI) hanno una nuova configurazione su Raspberry Pi 5. Con due interfacce MIPI a 4 corsie, \u00e8 ora possibile supportare qualsiasi combinazione di due telecamere o display. Ci\u00f2 significa che \u00e8 possibile utilizzarle per applicazioni stereoscopiche!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una cosa importante da notare \u00e8 che questi nuovi connettori sono a 22 e non a 15 vie, come in altri prodotti attuali di fotocamere e display. Ci\u00f2 significa che \u00e8 necessario un cavo adattatore per il nuovo Pi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunatamente, Raspberry Pi sta rilasciando dei cavi adattatori mini-standard da abbinare ai nuovi connettori MIPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jack audio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una differenza che si nota subito \u00e8 che il Raspberry Pi 4 disponeva di un jack audio stereo a 4 poli e di un jack video composito, che consentivano connessioni audio e video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al contrario, il Raspberry Pi 5 non dispone di un jack audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se si desidera collegare l'audio, \u00e8 necessario utilizzare l'USB o il Bluetooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RTC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Una nuova caratteristica del Raspberry Pi 5 \u00e8 la presenza di un RTC (Real-Time Clock) e di un connettore per la batteria RTC per un preciso cronometraggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un RTC permetter\u00e0 al vostro Raspberry Pi 5 di essere utile nelle applicazioni remote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il Raspberry Pi 4 non dispone di un RTC o di un connettore per una batteria RTC, ovviamente. Ci\u00f2 significa che \u00e8 necessario il WiFi per il cronometraggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PCIe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Raspberry Pi 5 \u00e8 il primo Raspberry Pi che incorpora un'interfaccia PCIe 2.0 x1, che consente di collegare periferiche superveloci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il Raspberry Pi 4 non disponeva di un'interfaccia PCIe, anche se il Compute Module 4 offriva PCIe attraverso una scheda I\/O.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prima del Raspberry Pi 5, avevamo accesso solo alla velocit\u00e0 massima dell'interfaccia SPI, quindi la larghezza di banda era limitata. Con PCIe, ora \u00e8 possibile aggiungere hardware ad alta velocit\u00e0 internamente al Pi senza dover ricorrere ai cavi USB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ora \u00e8 possibile fare molto di pi\u00f9 con il trasferimento dei dati tra il Pi e altri dispositivi (pensate a tutte le possibilit\u00e0, come i modem 4G, le porte Ethernet aggiuntive, le unit\u00e0 SSD!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alimentazione e pulsante di accensione<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrambi utilizzano un connettore USB-C per l'alimentazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuttavia, Raspberry Pi 5 richiede un'alimentazione in corrente continua di 5V\/5A e supporta la funzione Power Delivery (PD), rispetto alle specifiche di 5V\/3A di Raspberry Pi 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questo aumento di potenza \u00e8 coerente con l'aumento delle prestazioni. Naturalmente, il Pi 5 non solo supera il Pi 4 in termini di consumo energetico.
