De <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdcard.org\/\">SD Vereniging<\/a> bracht in 1999 de oorspronkelijke SD-standaard uit. Een SD-kaart is 24mm x 32mm en weegt ongeveer 2 gram. In 2003 werd de miniSD-kaart ge\u00efntroduceerd, met een afmeting van 20mm x 21,5mm en een gewicht van ongeveer 800 gram. Sinds 2005 is de microSD-kaart beschikbaar. Met een formaat van 11mm x 15mm en ongeveer 250mg was dit lange tijd het kleinste en lichtste formaat. In 2018 begon Huawei met de productie van hun Nano Memory of NM Card die - hoewel hij geen deel uitmaakt van de SD Association standaard - als opvolger van de microSD Card kan worden beschouwd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Houd er rekening mee dat de fysieke grootte van een SD-kaart niet of nauwelijks in verband staat met de opslagcapaciteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elk kaartformaat gebruikt zijn eigen interface, dus houd daar rekening mee bij het kiezen van een kaart voor uw toepassing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"storage-size\">Opslagcapaciteit SD-kaart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De opslagcapaciteiten van SD-kaarten zijn de laatste 20 jaar drastisch toegenomen. De SD Association (SDA) is verantwoordelijk voor het uitvaardigen van SD-normen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De SDA heeft in 1999 de SDSC-norm vastgesteld. SC betekent Standard Capacity en omvat SD-kaarten met een opslagcapaciteit tot 2 GB. In 2006 werd de SDHC-standaard (High Capacity) gedefinieerd, die kaarten tot 32 GB omvat. Aangezien de opslaggrootte van flashgeheugen in die periode omhoogschoot, omvat de SDXC-standaard (Extended Capacity) uit 2009 kaarten tot 2 TB. Tot slot bracht de SD Association in 2018 de SDUC (Ultra Capacity) uit tot 128TB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/picockpit.com\/raspberry-pi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Storage-Size-1024x645.jpg\" alt=\"Opslagcapaciteit SD-kaart\" class=\"wp-image-1985\" width=\"529\" height=\"333\"\/><figcaption>Opslagcapaciteit SD-kaart<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bovenaan elke kaart zou u de opslagcapaciteit en de overeenkomstige SD-standaard moeten kunnen zien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoeveel opslagcapaciteit u nodig hebt, hangt sterk af van de toepassing die u in gedachten hebt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bus\">Bus Versies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Net als bij USB bestaan er verschillende bustypen voor SD-kaarten. Ze zijn niet altijd compatibel en verschillen drastisch wat betreft de mogelijke schrijfsnelheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De volgende bussnelheden kunnen alleen worden bereikt wanneer de kaart en de host dezelfde bus gebruiken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als er geen busindicator op de SD-kaart staat, gebruikt hij waarschijnlijk de <strong>Hoge Snelheid <\/strong>Bus met tot 25 MB\/s. De <strong>UHS-I<\/strong> Bus ondersteunt tot 104 MB\/s. Dan is er nog <strong>UHS-II<\/strong> met maximaal 312 MB\/s en <strong>UHS-III<\/strong> met een snelheid tot 624 MB\/s. In de meeste gevallen wordt een kaart die gebruik maakt van een UHS-bus dienovereenkomstig aangeduid met een Romeins nummer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tenslotte, als je ziet <strong>EX <\/strong>of<strong> Express<\/strong> op een kaart betekent dat het gebruik maakt van de <strong>Express<\/strong> Bus die topsnelheden ondersteunt van 985 MB\/s tot 3940 MB\/s!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat de compatibiliteit betreft, kunnen High Speed en UHS-I kaarten worden gebruikt met elk host-apparaat. Als u meer wilt weten over compatibiliteit, kijk dan eens op <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdcard.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/bus_speed_img2021.png\">deze infographic<\/a> van de SD Vereniging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Probeer altijd de bus van de kaart en het host-apparaat op elkaar af te stemmen om de hoogste snelheid te verkrijgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"speed-classes\">Snelheidsklassen SD-kaarten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Als u naar de bovenkant van een SD-kaart kijkt, ziet u een heleboel logo's die de snelheidsklasse aanduiden. Er is een enorme variatie in kaartsnelheden, zelfs tussen kaarten van dezelfde snelheidsklasse en vaak zelfs tussen twee kaarten van hetzelfde type van dezelfde leverancier. Vooral bij consumentenkaarten kunnen sommige kaarten twee keer zo snel zijn als identieke kaarten van dezelfde leverancier - we zullen in deel 3 van deze serie dieper op dit onderwerp ingaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De snelheidsklassen geven de minimumsnelheid aan waarmee de kaart standaardbewerkingen moet uitvoeren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tot nu toe heeft de SD-Associatie vier snelheidsnormen gedefinieerd<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"#speed-class\">Snelheidsklasse<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#uhs-speed-class\">UHS-snelheidsklasse<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#video-speed-class\">Video Snelheidsklasse<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"#application-performance-class\">Applicatie Prestatie Klasse<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"speed-class\">Snelheidsklasse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>De snelheidsklasse of legacysnelheidsklasse geeft de minimale sequenti\u00eble schrijfsnelheid aan. De vier onderverdelingen zijn  <strong>C2<\/strong> voor een minimum van 2 MB\/s, <strong>C4<\/strong> voor een minimum van 4 MB\/S, <strong>C6<\/strong> met een minimum van 6 MB\/s en <strong>C10<\/strong> met ten minste 10 MB\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"uhs-speed-class\">UHS-snelheidsklasse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>De UHS- of Ultra High Speed Class breidt de bestaande snelheidsklasse uit met <strong>U1<\/strong> voor een minimale sequenti\u00eble schrijfsnelheid van 10 MB\/s en <strong>U3<\/strong> voor ten minste 30 MB\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"video-speed-class\">Video Snelheidsklasse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Om nog hogere resoluties te ondersteunen, zoals <strong>8K<\/strong>heeft de SDA de Video Snelheidsklasse gecre\u00eberd. Deze begint met <strong>V6<\/strong> of een sequenti\u00eble schrijfsnelheid van ten minste 6 MB\/s. <strong>V10<\/strong> staat voor 10 MB\/s, <strong>V30<\/strong> betekent ten minste 30 MB\/s. Uiteindelijk gaat het helemaal tot <strong>V60<\/strong> met 60 MB\/s en zelfs <strong>V90<\/strong> met 90 MB\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"application-performance-class\">Applicatie Prestatie Klasse<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>De prestatieklassen voor toepassingen bepalen niet alleen de minimale sequenti\u00eble schrijfsnelheid (die voor beide 10 MB\/s bedraagt), maar ook de minimale invoer-\/uitvoerbewerkingen per seconde of <strong>IOPS<\/strong><em>. <\/em>De twee momenteel gedefinieerde klassen zijn <strong>A1<\/strong> met 1.5K IOPS minimum willekeurige leessnelheid en 500 IOPS minimum willekeurige schrijfsnelheid en <strong>A2<\/strong> met 4K IOPS leessnelheid en ten minste 2K IOPS willekeurige schrijfsnelheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let op deze klassen als u ook gegevens van de SD-kaart wilt lezen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"choose-the-right-sd-card\">Kies de juiste SD-kaart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nu weet u hoe u een SD kaart moet classificeren. Als u de beste kaart voor uw toepassing wilt kiezen, zijn de drie belangrijkste dingen om te overwegen: budget, vereist geheugen en vereiste snelheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om een Raspberry Pi te laten werken, hebt u minstens 8 GB opslagruimte nodig, hoewel 16 GB algemeen wordt aanvaard als het beste compromis tussen functionaliteit en kosteneffici\u00ebntie. Als u echter geheugenintensieve taken met uw Raspberry Pi uitvoert, kunt u misschien beter een SDXC-kaart nemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veel videocamera's hebben een SD-kaart nodig als opslagmedium. Vooral bij het opnemen <strong>4K<\/strong> of <strong>8K<\/strong> video heb je veel en veel geheugen nodig. Daarom is het niet altijd de meest kosteneffectieve oplossing om een high end kaart te kopen, als een goedkopere kaart de klus kan klaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U zou ook de vormfactor van de kaart in overweging kunnen nemen.
