Thank you. Shame it’s not so easy to upgrade/downgrade between 32 and 64.

Why am I being informed that I am required to use a USA Keyboard. When I am in the UK in order to upgrade to a 64bit system on the Raspberry pi400 ? Which I certainly have no wish to consider doing ?

Same issues. Glad I found your comments. Going back to 32 bit as well.

From the literature I gleaned when I wrote this article, re-doing everything seems to be the optimal method, unfortunately.

I’ve been doing nightly backups with rip-clone for both my 64 bit (RPi 4B 4GB) systems and one (RPi 400) that is 32 bit OS. I am thinking maybe just restoring the /boot from a 64 bit backup onto that machine would allow me to bring it up to 64 bit but keep all my data intact.

I don’t think it is ready for the casual user. Every time I try something out of the ordinary it doesn’t work. Remote Desktop doesn’t work without changes. After the changes you have authorization problems when you login and when you try to shutdown. The update notification works but it doesn’t actually update. You have to use sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade and reboot to update. I am going to 32 bit for now.

Are there any changes or patches to get it to work?
Even the repository generates an error.
